Text and shortcuts

The problem I am having is that when I enter text, either when I am naming a new layer or using it for a graphic, PSP 7 thinks I am using a certain letter as a short cut. O, for example, will open the layers pallet, rather than simply typing it in for the layer or graphic. Is there a way of rectifying this problem? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest version 7.02 from the JASC website.
