Making a watermark

| I know that conventional watermarks are created when the paper is made and intergrated into the paper, so I know that printing a real one from a laser printer is not possible (unless you know something I don't). But is there an effect in PSP that simulates what a conventional (not a digimarc. a real paper watermark) watermark looks like on paper? I know psp has alot of effects that can be applied so which one can I use to closely resemble a watermark effect when I print it out on my color laser printer? |

| You could try this tutorial: http://www.justkiss.com/psp/basicd3.htm I think it covers what you need - Simon |

I don't know if it's the sort of effect you're looking for, since a true watermark effect can't be duplicated on-screen (as per Stephan A's reply), but check out http://www.crosswinds.net/~jgfoto/galleries/graff/do_you.html (lower left corner) (PAGE MAY LOAD SLOOOOW) to see if it's what you're looking for. This is more of a "corporate stamp" effect than a water mark, so it may not be what you're after. But if it helps, this is simply a graphic on a seperate layer, cutout with low shadow settings, and transparency reduced to about 75%. -- |
