Blade Pro is a commercial filter which can be used with PaintShop Pro (and many
other paint packages). It is pretty much one of those "must have" filters, and
if you do not have it, or would like to use the trial version, then go to
Blade Pro to find out more.
This tutorial is not an introduction to Blade Pro, but rather describes how to
create instant frames using Blade Pro. If you are new to Blade Pro, then you may
want to experiment with the filter first, before trying this.
Three Simple Steps

Font too fancy

Resized afterwards
|
- Enter some text.
HINT: Bolder text works better. Gimmicky fonts work less well.
- Fire up Blade Pro, select effects at random until you like it.
- Add Drop Shadow, and save your result.
You might also want to save the Blade Pro settings so you can reproduce
the same effect later.
Try not to resize your font afterwards, this can lead to distortions and general
grottiness.
If the text is not quite the size you want it, resize it as soon as you have placed it
and before you apply Blade Pro or any other effects. The Deformation Tool is great for
doing this.
Try sharpening the text (before you add the drop shadow) to bring a bit of clarity
to the result.
