A variety of tools, I particularly like their Text and Particles stuff, but they
also have GIF and JPEG optimisers which are widely used.
KAI
Most famous for their "GOO" product, but their Power Tools are pretty nifty too.
Blade Pro
Currently one of the most popular plugins for PSP. Not least because it only costs $25.
It actually covers a lot of the ground of Alien Skin, but I see a lot of people moving
from Eye Candy to Blade Pro. There are also many presets in circulation for BP

This is a very high quality set of tools for shadows, bevels, textures and a dozen
other things. The only down-side with this package is the price, but it is a real
"pro" package.

Not for the faint hearted (or small walleted either) this Adobe plugin creates
boggling "spacey" type atmospheres and lighting effects. Reminds of very big
budget Sci-Fi movies.

As well as producing some cracking filters, Greg's fantasy engine for applying

costs less than $20 a year. While they may not always have what you want, they do have a lot of stuff.

Universe
A nifty little utility for instantly creating space scenes.
Ulead Cool 3D
Great little tool for creating 3D graphical logos from text (or dingbats!)
Can also animate them too.
Asymetrix 3D
A little more sophisticated 3D modeller. Version 1 has been free on CD's.
Fractal Design Poser
Lets you pose 3D models of humans (and now animals), can be exported in a variety
of formats. Poser 2 has been given away free on CD's.
