Down by the Dunes

Warm sand, blue skies - I need a holiday now!

Technique:

The dunes are of course made from a montage with some colourising, cutting and pasting and some sort of filtering.

They sky is wiped on in a rough blue on white, then some heavy filtering applied to deform it.

The border, which I think is very appealling, is made by creating a white border in its own top layer, then using a paint filter to distress the edges.

I often use Greg Schorno's Paint Engine, which is great but completely obtuse in its controls. But also the Adobe artistic filters I also find great aids.
