CatWoman

Following on from other works with fossilised bones it seemed obvious that next step would be to look at how the bones of different creatures come from the same roots.

Searching for the different animals within ourselves.

Technique:

I started out thinking that a rough approximation between the animals bones and the figure would be ok, but boy was I wrong.

Firstly, I tried some careful proportioning to make them fit and meld, but eventually I realised this just wasn't going to work.

I ended up taking the skeleton apart bone by bone and re- assembling it to fit. With additional bones added where required (for instance the backbone) and other bones lengthened to fit (for example the legs).

Even so, I stopped to early for my liking, but after the first few hours I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm for more and more minute tweaking.
