I could find no fault with this book, excellent
After trying to navigate my way around all the pallettes and trying to master PSP myself, and not having the manual, I gave up. Going into JASC's website and finding this book for sale,I decided I needed to order it.Coming from the States, the book was cheap but the poastage required a mortgage! Then I remembered Amazon! I ordered, it turned up in 2 days, and saved me a fortune! I found the book to be an excellent tutor, it made me eager to begin the next lesson, and I disagree with one of the reviewers saying it needed to be in colour (they wouldn't have bought it if they'd known it wasn't).Colour is not nesessary. As a beginners guide to PSP, and more advanced this is the book you want, look no further...

Every beginner/intermediate PSP user should read this book
This is an amazing book that has taught me many things I never knew were possible with the software. There is even a chapter where the author shows you how to remove a person's braces from a photograph. As well, I've found the author to be extremely helpful in answering any of my questions, (even some non book-related questions) via e-mail.

Highly recommended...

Good book for beginner
Found the book to be very helpful to the beginner. But a major mistake not having the graphics/images in color. Wouldn't have ordered if I had known.

Good tutorial for beginners
If you're new to PSP this is a good book that will familiarize you with what PSP 5 can do. Some info is basic. Chapters are divided into 1-hour lessons although I finished most in less than an hour. Nice examples, although some laborious, show you the cool tricks. Examples are author's tricks so it doesn't teach you how to make your own but the examples provide starting point for you to play around and experiment. Best part is the links to more tutorials. Don't expect a complete guide. It only touches the surface. Nice cheat sheet too.

Very informative without being too technical

Made me realise that there was more to PSP then first thought. I am only part way through (I am a complete beginner so I am reading and practicing each lesson as I go along) but know by the end of it I will be a lot more knowledgeable and confident and will be able to understand the art of Imaging and and editing photographs much better.

A superb instruction book for Paint Shop Pro 5.

Paint Shop Pro 5 is a wonderful graphics tool, and this book helps you make the most of it. The book offers detailed guidance for beginners, but is also of interest and use to advanced users-- especially those who have upgraded from version 3 or 4.

Do you want to make bevelled textured text? Or learn about masks and layers, and create eye-catching graphics for the web? Or learn about the animation features?

Then make sure you buy ths book!
